God's Immutability

In a world that is filled with so many uncertainties it is quite comforting to know that we serve an immutable God. Unlike human beings who have the propensity to change their minds, God on the other hand does not change. James 1: 17 states, ''Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.'' Unlike the stock prices that go up depending on whether more people buy them, and depreciates depending on whether more people want to sell them, the value of God does not increase or decrease. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Oftentimes the battles, and the trials around us seem insurmountable; almost hopeless. However, as people of faith we have to continue to put our trust and hope in the immutable God. Knowing that He is the constant variable that will not change. His word will not change, neither will His purpose and His promises for our lives change. Let's continue to walk in Faith, because we serve the unchangeable, unmovable, and unstoppable God.
