Let God Carry The Burden

Have you ever stopped to wonder how an ant or a beetle can carry such large volumes of food, sand or pebble? It’s like they have some kind of superpower mixed into their tiny little muscles that enables them to look like little majestic giant weightlifters. To be honest, I sometimes wish I had the strength of these tiny WWE champions when I am slapped with trials and tribulations on all fronts, but I don’t. On the contrary, my strength is strictly dependent on God and His word.
I am reminded by Paul in the book of 2 Corithians 12: 9, God’s strength is made perfect in my weakness. ‘’ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.’’
The misery of how God’s strength is made perfect in my weakness is something I believe will take a lifetime to figure out. The only problem with that is God does not require me to figure it out, He only requires me to trust Him. Like me, many of us at times may find ourselves between a rock and a hard place. And it’s most times when we come to our breaking point- just before we feel like giving up or have given up that God shows up. When this happens we are reminded that the battle is not ours; it is the Lord’s.
So while the ants and the beetle have to carry their burdens all by themselves, we have a superhero who is capable of carrying our burdens for us.
My hope today is that we will continue to experience the majestic powers of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Have a blessed day.
