What Number Do You Play On The Team?

There are no words that can explain a player's reaction when he knows that he is the MVP! Sometime last week I got the pleasure of capturing one of my student's reaction when his team won a match against their opponent. Later that week, he showed me a trophy he had received for his contribution to the team's victory. His exact words were, ''Miss Panton look what I got!''

With a big smile catapulting across his face, I responded by saying, ''you did that, I am so proud of you!'' His reaction was priceless. Similarly, when we are able to do the things that pleases God, and the things that He requires of us; we will become an MVP in the kingdom of God. So as I was reflecting on what to talk about today, I thought I might ask the question, ''What position are we playing in the Kingdom of God? How are we making Christ known?''

Like my student, we need to do the things that will bring glory to God. In turn, He will reward us with immeasurable favor, spiritual and physical blessings, open doors etcetera. Moreover, He will provide the opportunities for us to multiply that which He has deposited in us. The scripture says, '' Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled'' (Matthew 5:6). Today let us sing Hallelujah to the Kings of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, for His is worthy to be praised!
